Kimi Raikkonen will remain with the Ferrari F1 team in 2016 despite speculation the Finn was to replaced
There had been concerns about his form with the team thought to be considering other options for next season.
Valtteri Bottas was favourite to replace Raikkonen but he is now set to stay at Williams.
Raikkonen will partner Sebastian Vettel again in the team for another year.
He told the Ferrari F1 website: “For me, to be able to stay another year at Ferrari means that the dream goes on.
“The Scuderia is my family, as I always said, it’s here I want to end my career. I am more committed than ever and I want to say thank you to the people who gave me this chance. Also, a big thank you goes to all my Ferrari fans, for their continuous support.”
