Nearly a third (30%) of UK adults say they cannot afford to buy healthy food because it is more expensive than other products.

It’s according to a survey published by the #DontTaxHealthy campaign.

Over two-thirds (68%) find that healthy food and drink are more expensive than those not marked as healthy.

The campaign group is petitioning the Government to reduce the VAT charged on all lower sugar food and drink, from 20% to five per cent.
