Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman has admitted taking part in a college admissions cheating scheme.
The 56-year-old pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud.
She said “yes, your honour,” when asked whether she understood the charges.
Prosecutors say they will recommend four months in prison.
The actress was arrested in March and accused of paying $15,000 (£11,570) to an invigilator to boost her daughter’s SAT score.
Court documents said Huffman had paid the money disguised as a charitable donation.
Huffman said in a statement that she accepted responsibility and that she “will accept the consequences that stem from those actions”.
